Ghana pair of Sulley Muntari and Michael Essien are likely to start AC Milan’s Serie A trip to Hellas Verona on Sunday afternoon.
While Muntari has been phenomenal for the Rossoneris this season, scoring twice in five games, Essien is set to start his first competitive game for the club under Fillipe Inzaghi.
Though the ex-Chelsea star has played three times in the Serie A this season, it will be his first start since the start of the season.
Muntari scored a cracking goal for Milan in their 2-0 win at Chievo Verona before the international break and is keen to continue his impressive run of form.
Essien’s chance to a possible is due to Milan’s depleted midfield which has seen Dutchman Nigel di Jong and others fizzling out with injury for the weekend game.
