Muntari eyeing league title next season

AC Milan’s Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari is hoping to win Scudetto and Coppa Italia next season after their disastrous showing this season.

Milan will try to reach a Europa League spot in the final game of the season, but they have to leapfrog Parma and Torino.

“On Sunday, we wanted to win at all costs, but we were not able to,” Muntari told Milan Channel.

“Now we have the last game, we have to win and then hope to receive good news from the other stadiums; everything is possible, we need to have faith and play our game and then see what happens.

“We are not happy with the Atalanta game, we wanted to bring home three points but it did not go our way.

“We have to win on Sunday to finish well and for the fans, who always helped us; we will not underestimate the opponents, even though they are safe, we just have to do well.”

He expressed his desire for next season: “Winning Scudetto and Coppa Italia, so our fans would be happy again.”

He drew a balance of his season.

“It started well, but then I had some injuries and the suspension. “Seeing my team-mates from the sideline, without being able to help them, hurts. “Anyway, this kind of things help you grow.”

He will partake to the World Cup with Ghana.

“I am happy for the call-up; I have to thank Milan for what they have done for me.”
