...move unlikely, says agent
Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo has admitted that Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari could leave the club in January. The player's agent Stefano Antonelli also confirmed that his client could be set to move although negotiations are yet to begin.
Antonelli said: "It's possible that an agreement could be found in January, even though Muntari is an important player for Udinese, and because of this he will be expensive."
"But I think that until now the right offer hasn't yet arrived. The player would like to go to England, but at this moment he has nothing to choose from", Antonelli said.
Middlesbrough and Portsmouth have been linked with the midfielder in recent weeks, with Pompey a likely destination after boss Harry Rednkapp admitted that on-loan Benfica starlet Manuel Fernandes is currently priced too highly for a permanent deal.
Meanwhile, former Portsmouth reserve team goalkeeper Andrea Guatelli has moved to Swiss side FC Zurich on a one-year deal.
Guatelli, 22, failed to break into the Pompey first team although spent a month on loan at Oxford United and has been looking for a club since the end of last season
Muntari move unlikely, says agent
The agent of Udinese ace Sulley Ali Muntari has revealed that a January move to the Premiership is possible even if unlikely. The Bianconeri seem ready to cash in on the midfielder given his lack of discipline this term, but English interest has not yet reached a point where an agreement can be reached.
?The player would like to appear in the Premiership, but there is nothing in place at the moment which will make that happen,? agent Stefano Antonelli revealed.
?There is a chance that the club will agree to a sale in January, but he is an important player and the cost of such an operation would be high.
?As it presently stands, the right offer has yet to be tabled by any club.?
Muntari is an all-action ball-winning midfielder who was heavily associated with a move to Portsmouth before the start of this season.
Manchester United, Juventus and Milan have also been linked with the Ghanaian international over the past 24 months.
