Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has been ruled out for two weeks after he sustained an injury in Tuesday’s friendly against Gabon,GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.
The Inter Milan player picked up the injury in the first half and it was initially feared to be a serious knee injury.
But after running series of tests and scans, doctors have confirmed he suffered a second degree torn ligament and should be fit again in a fortnight.
The news will be a massive one for Ghanaian soccer fans and Serbian trainer Goran Stevanovic who will be banking on his experience for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
But he will miss some key matches in the Italian Scudeto including Cagliari and Siena.
