Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari featured in the Saudi derby for his Al Ittihad side on Sunday evening.
The suspended Black Stars player was handed a start in the derby game against Al Ahli after some a couple of months on the sidelines due to injury.
Muntari and his Al Ittihad side were however humbled on their own turf with away side Al Ahli taking away all three points with a 2-0 victory.
Hassan Seraj put Al Ahli ahead after just five minutes into the game with Omar Al Somah adding a second 15 minutes later before his goal in the 36th minute was ruled out.
The first half double by Al Ahli was enough to give them the bragging rights on the day.
Sulley Muntari played in the full duration of the game.
