Internazionale are preparing a summer offer for Udinese’s highly rated midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari.
Injuries to Esteban Cambiasso and Patrick Vieira have underlined just how short of ball-winning midfielders the Nerazzurri are and they will remedy that problem in June.
Transfer consultants Marco Branca and Lele Oriali are looking around Europe for possible options and Muntari seems to be their man.
The Ghanaian, still just 22, is undoubtedly one of Udinese’s best players and impressed at the San Siro against Inter on Wednesday evening.
It’s understood the Via Durini boys are ready to offer up to £7.5m, and include a few players, in exchange for Muntari.
The youngster, who has suffered disciplinary problems this term after being dismissed three times in Serie A, has been linked with a move away from Udine for some time.
Premiership side Portsmouth were very keen but Udinese’s asking price scared them off last summer, while Spartak Moscow launched an unsuccessful January bid.
