Muntari will start against Egypt - Minister

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Joseph Yamin has stated emphatically that AC Milan midfielder Sulley Ali Muntari will start for the Black Stars when they entertain Egypt on October 15 in the first leg of the 2014 World Cup final qualifiers.

Speaking to Kumasi-based SIKKA FM, the deputy minister of Youth and Sports was optimistic that the AC Milan midfielder will start ahead of his competitors in midfield.

“I know he has been called into the team, and that is a fact. He will play against Egypt on that day. The qualities of Sulley are unquestionable and we all know that. I can confidently say he will even start for the Black Stars on that day. We have to support the team to beat them well so that the second leg in Egypt will be a mere formality.”

Yamin also predicted that Kwasi Appiah’s charges will beat Egypt not less than three goals.

“We will score a minimum of three goals. Kwesi Appiah’s team will beat Egypt by not less than three goals. I predicted that score line against Zambia and that couldn’t materialize but with this it will come to pass. This is a different game altogether and it’s a different team as well. The Zambians were tight, but we know Egypt is not the Egypt we used to know some years ago, and that is what we will capitalize on.”
