Ghanaian midfielder Jeffrey Schlupp has outlined his goal ambitions for the upcoming English Premier League season with Crystal Palace.
Despite being an unused substitute in Palace’s opening-day defeat to Brentford, the 31-year-old is poised to play a significant role this season, given his impressive pre-season form.
Schlupp found the net in three consecutive pre-season matches, showcasing his potential to contribute offensively.
Although he only scored two goals in 29 appearances last season, the Ghanaian aims to improve his goal tally in the 2024/25 campaign.
“I wish I had that form in the Premier League! For me, I managed to score a few goals this pre-season and I'm happy with how I performed," he told Crystal Palace TV.
“In terms of a goal target, any more than last year would be good for me, but hopefully we just have a successful season all together and then if I can chip in with some goals and assists, I'll be happy with that, yeah.
“We've worked so hard and hopefully we can give [the fans] something good to shout about on the first day.”
