Dutch-born Ghanaian forward Myron Boadu was on the scoresheet, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Bochum from defeat against Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga on Saturday.

Boadu, who joined Bochum in the summer, lasted 88 minutes as his team succumbed to a 3-1 home defeat to Wolfsburg in the week six clash.

Despite the loss, the on-loan Monaco attacker was one of the standout performers for the home side.

Wolfsburg took the lead with Tiago Tomás scoring in the 21st minute after he was set up by Mohamed Amoura.

Denmark international Jonas Wind doubled the advantage for the visitors in the 37th minute following another assist by Mohamed Amoura.

The visitors cemented the win in the 88th minute after Jonas Wind netted his second goal of the game at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion.

In the second half, the Ghanaian attacker found the net in the 72nd minute to pull one back for Bochum after connecting with a pass from Moritz Broschinski.

However, his goal was not enough to secure a comeback for his team, who fell short at home.

The 23-year-old forward has scored two goals and provided an assist in five games for the Bundesliga club.

Boadu is on a season-long loan at Bochum from Monaco and is expected to play a significant role for the club this season.
