NLA presents cash prize to soccer-cash winner

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has presented a cash prize of GH¢ 5, 922.35 to Mr Clement Frimpong of Asankragua in the Western region for winning the maiden draw of the Soccer-Cash game.

The Soccer-cash a dividend game, organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, enable participants to win from a pool of sales of tickets after having 10 out of 12 match fixtures, 11 out of 12 match fixtures and all 12 match fixtures predicted correctly.

Brigadier General Martin Ahiaglo, Acting Director General, NLA, commended the winner and urged all those who are 18 years and above to continue playing the game and become winners.

He said, even though the game was launched some few weeks ago, the exponential growth it was currently enjoying is an indication that the Soccer-cash has the potential to expand the revenue base of the National lotteries and its contribution to the consolidated fund.

He said apart from the contribution that would be made into the consolidated fund, some of the proceeds of would be used to develop sports through the sector ministry.

Mr Frimpong expressed joy for becoming the first person to win the soccer-cash game.

He described the soccer-cash as very real and urged all to continue playing as they would also become winners.

At the second draw of the soccer-cash game held in Accra, two participants had 10 out of the 12 match fixture predictions correct, thereby winning GH¢ 2,481.44 each.

The NLA has announced that this week’s 12 match fixture predictions would involve football matches in the Ghana Premier League, English Premier League, La Liga, Italian Serie A, Bundesliga and Turkish Super Lig.
