Board Chairman of the National Sports Authority Kwadwo Baah Agyemang has alleged former Sports Minister Nii Lantey Vanderpuye misappropriated funds earmarked for the renovation of the New Edubiase stadium.
Former Ghana President John Dramani Mahama cut the sod for the construction of the 10,000-seating capacity multi-purpose stadium in July last year.
But the project has been thrown into the dogs after the National Democratic Congress lost the 2016 elections in Ghana.
However, former Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem, Kwadwo Baah Agyemang, is alleging massive corruption against former sports minister Nii Lantey, claiming he failed to account for monies he received from the seat of government for the project.
"Nii Lantey has nothing to say against this current administration, knowing very well he failed to do what Hon, Isaac Asiama is doing,"he told Oman FM
"What did he do when he saw the Accra Sports Stadium and the Azumah Nelseon sports Complex needs renovation,"he quizzed.
"Am daring him to come out and tell us what he did with the money he took from the Flag Staff House to renovate the New Edubiase Stadium.
"There are documents a to show that the GHC51m debt is a fact."
