NSA portion of Black Stars gate proceeds increases to 20%

Footy-ghana.com can confirm that the National Sports Authority’s share of net gate proceeds for games involving the Black Stars has been increased to 20%.

According to our sources, The NSA’s share was previously 15% with the rest going to the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Footy-ghana.com sources gather that the increase in the NSA’s share came about after NSA boss Joe Kpenge approached the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mahama Ayariga about the issue.

Footy-ghana.com can reveal that Kpenge proposed that the NSA gets 30% of the net gate proceeds, with 70% going to the Ministry, but after a series of discussions, Ayariga agreed to increase the NSA’s share by 5%.

Footy-ghana.com understands that the NSA will thus be paid 20% of the net gate proceeds of the 2015 African Nations Cup qualifier between Ghana’s Black Stars and the Sparrow Hawks of Togo in Tamale on Wednesday.
