Accra, July6, GNA - The National Sports Council (NSC) has decided to reintroduce a forum which will afford the Council and its affiliates to meet the media once a month to deliberate on matters affecting the development of sports in the country.
Speaking to the GNA Sports on Wednesday, Mr Charles James Aryeh, the acting Chief Executive of the NSC said the reintroduction of the function would establish and maintain empathy between sports administrators and journalists.
He said the event would hold on the last Tuesday of every month, with the maiden one, which would be inaugurated by Mr Osei Bonsu Amoah, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports coming up on July 26. The Chief Executive said apart from the NSC, the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) would be involved in the deliberations. He reminded journalist to view sports administrators as partners and encouraged the media to work in harmony with administrators to raise standards.
