Media personality Nana Aba Anamoah expressed her bewilderment after the English national team lost to Spain in the 2024 European Championship (Euro)
finals.

She noted that she had been a supporter of the English national team throughout the tournament and had hoped they would win the Euros this time around, but her expectations were dashed.

The former host of a sports show on TV3 acknowledged that despite her shock, she believes Spain has been the best team in the tournament, making their victory a deserving one.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Nana Aba lamented England's lack of a major trophy and wondered when they would overcome it, despite having a star-studded squad.

“The best team in the tournament won. But Ma y3 weak. D for Dab3n? Eiiii my England.”

Meanwhile, social media users in Ghana have been mocking the English national team for failing to clinch the trophy after many years without winning a major title.

On Sunday night, Nico Williams was named Man of the Match after playing a key role in Spain's 2-1 victory over England in the 2024 European Championship.

Playing on the flanks, Nico Williams initially threatened the English defence.

The talented Athletic Club forward scored the opening goal in the 47th minute, assisted by Yamal Lamine.

After Cole Palmer's equalizer, Mikel Oyarzabal scored the winning goal for Spain in the 86th minute, assisted by Marc Cucurella.

Spain's 2-1 win over England crowned them champions of the 2024 European Championship for the fourth time.
