Football analyst and coach Nana Agyemang has advised re-appointment Black Stars Kwesi Appiah to take up courses for his UEFA A and Pro License badges.
He believes that will equip the ex-Ghana captain to have a successful tenure in the next two years.
Appiah was re-instated on Tuesday by the Ghana Football Association to replace Avram Grant.
The outgoing Al Khartoum coach has been tasked to win trophies with the Black Stars.
''Kwesi Appiah can succeed if he is not giving the 2019 Afcon as a target. However, while on the job, he has to take the Uefa A and pro license courses, as this will further equip him in becoming a more astute tactician not only during matches but also in his coaching sessions,'' Agyeman told Herosportsgh.com
''The players will respect him because of his experience as a footballer and qualification as a coach.
''If he is prepared to totally revamp the team and sideline the old, injured and the cameo bench warmers in Europe, he should be equipping himself with respect since their coaches in Europe are with higher certificates.
''He can re-establish a philosophy as the spinal cord of not only the Black Stars but also the CHAN team and pay attention to the potentials that exist in the Ghana Premier League also.
“He can recruit those players that are performing well in accordance to statistics available and MVP’s received.
''In short, if his only target is to rebuild the senior national team and local Blacks Stars concurrently over the next two years, creating a strong formidable team that plays well and able to deliver, then he stands a chance of having his contract extended. However, Appiah should be told his target to avoid confusions.''
