FC Nantes have entered the race to sign Ghana midfielder Salis Abdul Samed after his demotion by RC Lens.

The 24-year-old was notably absent from Lens' squad for their season opener against Angers, signalling his likely exit from the club.

Nantes is the latest team to express interest, joining Montpellier and Brest in the pursuit of Salis.

Talks have already begun between Nantes and Lens regarding his transfer, with the summer window quickly closing.

Despite his recent struggles, Salis remains a regular for the Ghanaian national team and hopes to secure a move to continue playing at the top level.

His contract with Lens runs until 2028, but his future now hangs in the balance as clubs compete for his signature.
