Accra, March 29, GNA - The National Executive Council of the Netball Association of Ghana (NAG) will on Wednesday, March 30, hold a meeting at the Media Center of the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra to discuss the impending Africa Cup of Nations Netball Championship to be hosted by Ghana.
A statement signed by Rev. Emmanuel D. Niikoi, President of NAG said the meeting will also discuss the final selection process for the national handball team, the Golden Maidens, the national Umpires course scheduled for Accra later next month and preparations made so far by the Association for the competition as well as netball sponsorship in the country.
It added that the meeting will also discuss participation of the teams in the impending All Africa Games in Mozambique later in the year.
The statement said, the Council will also hold a consultative meeting with Ladies clubs in Accra on the same day to develop ways of reviving netball in Ladies Institutions. They include CEPS, Prisons, Fire Service, Immigration, GBC, Ghana Cocoa Board, Cocoa Service, National Lottery Authority Civil and Local Government, Bank of Ghana, Commercial Bank, Barclays Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, National Investment Bank, Internal Revenue Service and S.I.C Ladies Associations. 29 March 2011
