New appointments at National Sports Council

Accra, Jan 26, GNA - The Management of the National Sports Council (NSC) has appointed new general secretaries for some of the associations. Information gathered from the Public Relations Department of the NSC by the GNA Sports reveals that Mr C.K. Attah has been removed from the Ghana Tennis Association (GTA) and reassigned to the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA). Eramus Adorkor, formerly of the Ghana Volleyball, Taekwondo and Scrabble Associations has now been assigned to the secretariat of the GTA and the Ghana Volleyball Association (GVA), whilst Ignatius Elletey maintains his position at the Badminton Association of Ghana (BAG) with a new and an additional responsibility at the secretariat of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA). Elletey takes over from Justus Agbeko who according to the information reaching the GNA Sports is currently outside the country. Patrick Anyidoho maintains his position at the secretariat of Judo and Karate-Do with additional new appointment to the Ghana Taekwondo Association (GTA). Elizabeth Akuba Acher has been assigned to the secretariat of the Ghana Netball Association (GNA) with George K. Arthur as the secretary to the Scrabble, Squash and Rugby Associations whilst Albert Papa Asante takes up the Beach Sports and Kick-boxing association. Kwame Aponfi takes up a new appointment at the NASFAAG and the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), with James Dennis Armah maintaining his role at the Cricket Association of Ghana (CAG) with additional responsibility at the Disabled Sports Association. Christiana Dodoo maintained her position at the Women for Sports Association of Ghana (WOSPAG) with a new portfolio at the Ghana Chess Association (GCA). The following people have been maintained at their respective positions; Alex Adjei - Basketball, R.O. Lamptey - Ghana Amateur Boxing Association (GABA), Baseball and Softball associations. The rest are Saka Acquaye - Handball, Swimming and Weightlifting Associations and Francis Kpesenu - Hockey and Cycling Associations.
