Premier League side, Newcastle United have set their sight on signing Belgian-born of Ghanaian descent, Jeremy Doku this summer.

The 18-year-old has been on the radar of top European clubs following his exploits in the Belgian top-flight league with RSC Anderlecht.

According to Spanish tabloid TodoFichajes, Doku has emerged as a top target for the club.

Borussia Dortmund, Liverpool, Galatasaray and Olympique Marseille have all expressed their interest.

Doku had netted three goals in 21 matches before the suspension of football due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

Doku's father recently revealed that the Anderlecht teenager previously turned down a move to Liverpool to further his career in Belgium.

He is eligible to represent Ghana at any level despite playing for the Belgium U15, U16, U17 and U21.

Black Stars head coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor met the 17-year-old and other Ghanaian-born footballer plying trade in Belgium on his last tour in Europe.
