Black Stars defender Nicholas Opoku believes they will need massive backing from Ghanaians to win the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Udinese centre-back has become a regular member of the national team and expected to make Ghana's squad for the tournament in June,
The Black Stars have been without a continental title since winning a fourth Nations Cup trophy in Libya 1982.
There is increasing pressure on the current select band of players to end that trophy drought and the 21-year-old has an idea how it can be done.
''We are united in camp and I haven’t seen any division in camp. We can win the cup (AFCON) but, it depends on how Ghanaians support us,'' he told Asempa FM.
''I was very happy for the call up when I saw it. I will continue with my impressive performance for the Black Stars. I feel very proud for playing for the Black Stars.''
Opoku has been named in Ghana's 24-man squad to face Kenya in Accra on 23 March in a final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
