Nigeria Weighs Ghana Friendly

Old rivals, Argentina and Ghana are on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as the countries being considered for a friendly match during the next FIFA window in June, we gathered last night.

The Nigerian federation has of recent been facing a Herculean task in wrapping up deals for the Eagles during international open days, prompting late replacements which come in form of lowly rated national teams that can rarely offer any test.

The Eagles will engage Kenya in Abuja next week Tuesday in an international date arranged to provide handy exposure to the home-based Eagles.

Sources at the Glasshouse revealed that the Argentines have also expressed their willingness to size up the Eagles on the international window in Abuja provided all logistics related to organising the match sail through.

Should the match go through, it will be almost a year to the day that some world class saves by goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama ensured that the South Americans could only squeeze past their African opponents 1-0 in their opening group game of the World Cup finals.

The NFF is narrowing is quest for a top rated side in order to prove it has the ability to attract a top quality side for the Eagles beyond the likes of Guatemala and Sierra Leone linked with the side since the beginning of the year.

It was also gathered that match agents working for Nigerian federation have written a letter to Ghana Football Association (GFA) inquiring about the availability of the Black Stars.
