Nigerian Walkers In Ghana

Scoo Ghana limited, sole distributors of Energizer batteries and flashlights has presented a cash amount and some products to the Visco Walking club to enable them organize a walk from Cape Coast to Accra on Tuesday 22nd July 2003 at exactly 4pm.

The walk is aimed at selecting a walker each for Ghana and Nigeria to represent them respectively in the 2nd - 24 hour walk in Malaysia on the 4th August, 2003.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the club, Mr. Peter Amoah, Elom Togo and Selali Segbefia, all executive members of the club thanked the Energizer company for their invaluable contribution toward sport development especially walking in Ghana. They promised that the items received would be put to good use.

Meanwhile, three Nigerians, over the weekend arrived in Cape Coast to participate in the walk. They are Luckshine Egbejule, Elizabeth Raymond and Ikerebe Peace. The organizers wish to inform all those who have registered to take part in the walk to report at the Visco Walking club Academy as soon as possible. In an interview with the organizing secretary Mr Selali Segbefia, he said most of the elite walkers in Ghana have registered to take part in the walk.They incude Ahmed Tijani Sanni of the Ghana Navy, Vincent Asumang of the Ghana National Service, Prince Frimpong, Atta Bright.The rest are,Richard Arthur,Jerimiah Damptey,Abraham Kumi,Adjei Boateng,Ekow Rambo,Thomas Quacoo and Moses Sheril.
