Spokesperson of Ghana FA, Ibrahim Saani Daara, has stated that the
minister of sports deserved to be shown the exit following his
denigrating comments over the ongoing league season.
The former BBC journalist says he cannot fathom as to why the minister
should continue to be in office after casting a slur on his outfit
administrative work following his ill-talks on the current league
campaign.
Honourable Nii Lantey Vanderpuye recently made the assertions that the
2015/2016 Ghana Premier League is not attractive, hence its failure to
attract sponsorship.
"If it were to be in any ministerial sector that, the minister has
made such kind of denigrating comments which has the potential to
create chaos like what has happened; I think he or she could have been
shown the exit by now," he told Kumasi-based radio station Ahoto
FM.
"So, for such a whole sports minister to cast a slur on some people's
work with some bad intention, I think he deserves to be rebuked by
authorities and by doing so; he should have been given the sack," he
added.
Many believe that the minister has a bone to pick with the Ghana FA
since he assumed office.
