Ghanaian defender Nii Nortey Ashong is a summer transfer target of Serie A side Chievo Verona.

The 19-year-old is owned by Fiorentina, but has been on loan at Serie B side Spezia where he is being under-utilized.

Ashong has made only one appearance this season.

He will return to Fiorentina at the end of the season where his future will be decided.
