No Ghanaian player was selected in CAF’s best XI for the just ended 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which was held in Egypt.
The Black Stars were booted out of the competition after losing 5-4 on penalties to Tunisia in the round of 16 stage after playing out a 1-1 draw in 120 minutes.
The last 16 eviction is the country’s worst performance in the continental showpiece since 2006.
As a result, it comes as no major surprise that no Ghanaian player was included the Team of the Tournament.
The list was dominated by winners Algeria and runner up Senegal who had four and five players representing respectively.
