Hasaacas Ladies assistant coach, Emmanuel Mensah, says his side will not be complacent ahead of the 2024 WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Cote d’Ivoire.

The Ghanaian champions will come up against Edo Queens of Nigeria, Omnisports Etincelle of Burkina Faso and AS Garde National of Niger in Group B.

Hasaacas Ladies touched down in Cote d’Ivoire on Friday, August 9, 2024, ahead of their participation in the qualifiers set to start this weekend.

“So for me, I think that a lot of people will be casting the toss in our favour that we are the favourite. And that shouldn't give room for us to, you know, be very content,” Mensah told Joy Sports.

“I think that there are new clubs that are looking forward to making a name in Africa. And so for me, I think it has always been Nigeria-Ghana.

“Nigeria-Ghana as far as the Champions League is concerned. So Edo Queens definitely will be one of the teams to look out for. But for me, a team from Burkina Faso and Nigeria, we don't underestimate them.

“We will go all out and pick all three points so far as every match is concerned.”

The WAFU B qualifiers will commence on August 10 in Abidjan with the final set to be played on August 23, 2024.
