Greek coach Petros Koukouras says rumours linking him to Hearts of Oak are untrue.

The Phobians have been without a substantive coach following the dismissal of Henry Wellington in June after a run of poor performances in the Ghana Premier League.

Youth coach Seth Hoffman currently leads the Phobians amid the search for a new boss.

"I have no information about this rumour circulating in the media," Koukouras, current coach of Ghanaian lower tier side Pacific Heroes, told Boss FM.

“Of course when someone is coming to coach in Ghana, he has in mind that he wants to coach one of the big clubs like Hearts of Oak, but no official of the said club has contacted me to take up the job.

“Currently, I have a contract with my team and I have to respect that.

“If Hearts need my services, they should talk to my agent or probably consultancy team because everything has to be in a professional way.

"We can’t just jump from team to team."

Hearts sat a lowly 13th, just one place above the relegation zone when the league came to a halt in June.

The Phobians are the second most successful club in the history of the Ghana Premier League, having won the title on 20 occasions.
