No-show Nyarko hit with ?30,000 fine

Alex Nyarko is in further trouble with Everton after failing to report for training.

The club have hit the troubled Ghanaian midfielder with a ?30,000 fine, the maximum of two weeks' wages, and he is in serious danger of becoming a football outcast.

Nyarko cost ?4.5million from French club Lens last summer but struggled to establish himself in the Premiership.

His season hit a low at Arsenal in April when an Everton fan ran on to the pitch to confront him and afterwards Nyarko said that he never wanted to play for the club again.

Everton subsequently transfer-listed the player but have so far received no serious inquiries.

Walter Smith's side are currently at a training camp in Tuscany but Nyarko was expected back at the club yesterday.
