Normalisation Committee proposes 94 delegates for GFA Congress

The Normalisation Committee of the Ghana Football Association has proposed a reduction of the number of delegates for Congress from 123 to 94 in the road map leading to the handing over of power to a new GFA Executive Committee

The proposal which is article 26 of the GFA revised Statutes, allocated 2 slots for each Premier League club, making it a total of 32 votes for the top division clubs, 8 for elite Women’s League Competition, “5 of which should be women” and 24 delegates for Division One League Clubs.

The road map also details the program for the review of the new Ghana FA statutes, the election of Constituent bodies, the election of a new GFA Board Chairman, playing of a special commemorative match, dubbed Normalisation Committee Super Cup, and a Presidential Cup.

The map which was drafted on May 28, has the presentation of a draft amended Statutes which was sent to FIFA on April 29.

It has July 24 as the day of the announcement of the election committee, with congress scheduled for July 31.
