Northampton Town FC have made a significant addition to their squad by signing former Black Stars winger Tariqe Fosu on a one-year contract.

The 28-year-old brings a wealth of experience from his time in the Championship and Premier League, having previously played for clubs like Reading, Charlton Athletic, Oxford United, and Brentford.

Fosu began his professional career at Reading before making a name for himself at Charlton, where he scored 11 goals in 57 appearances.

His impressive form caught the attention of Oxford, where he continued to shine, netting eight goals in 25 games.

His journey then took him to Brentford, where he played a crucial role in their promotion to the Premier League, even being nominated for the Championship Player of the Month in January 2021.

Although he was set to join Hatayspor in Turkey in 2023, the move fell through, and he spent time on trial in the MLS and training with his former club, Charlton.

Now, Fosu brings his pace, skill, and versatility to Northampton Town, where manager Jon Brady is confident he will make a significant impact.

Brady praised Fosu’s creativity and attacking prowess, expressing his belief that the winger can help propel the team forward.
