Former New Edubiase star Asiedu Attobrah has stated that not even Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed can pray for Ghana to end it 38-year trophy drought if the national teams handlers would not refrain from Nepotism and boot-licking.

According to Attobrah, the nation has been gifted with a lot of talent capable of lifting the AFCON but because player selection to the national teams is not done on merit hence our lack of triumph on the continent.

“In Ghana if a player complains about something unpleasant then they tag him a disrespectful player”, Attobrah began, speaking in an exclusive interview with Jeffries Sintim Koree on Television CK.

To him, there is lack of honesty in the national team and until that is uprooted Ghana can never win a trophy.

“But our national team (Black Stars) they should let truth prevail, yes, they should let the truth prevail.

“If there is no honesty in the national team, we can take it to Jesus, we should take it to Prophet Mohammed to lay their hands on it in prayers, everybody should lay hands on it, it won’t go anywhere, we can’t win anything.

“One thing I have seen about the national team is that there is no truth (honesty) in it, it is a fact,” he admonished.

Attobrah 25, has passed through the ranks of the national teams, from the u17 (Black Starlets) to the u20 (Black Satellites) and played an integral role for the locally assembled Black Stars squad that won silver at the 2013 CHAN Tournament staged in South Africa.
