easyJet and Ghanaian Ski Team on the Piste together!

easyJet, Europe?s leading low cost airline today announces its sponsorship of Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong and The Ghana Ski Team. The team will represent Ghana for the first time ever in next year?s Ski World Cup (FIS) and proceed to the Winter Olympics in Turin - one of easyJet's latest Ski destinations.

easyJet will sponsor the Ghana Ski Team during the 2006-FIS (World Ski Federation-Alpine Ski Races) and through to the Winter Olympics in Turin. The team are within reach of the Winter Olympics, and if successful they will be the first black African team in history, to qualify for the world-wide competition.

Born in Glasgow, Kwame or The Snow Leopard as he is now known, grew up in Ghana and returned to Britain in 2000. Kwame has been living in Milton Keynes since that time and it was at the local snow dome ? ?Xscape? where he developed his love for the sport. It was also at 'Xscape' where he met his now full time coach, Dave Jacobs. the former head coach of the Xscape Race Team at Milton Keynes. Dave was born in Linlithgow, West Lothian, Scotland.

With the support of easyJet, The Ghana Ski Team will hopefully realise their dream and join the elite athlete?s in the 20th Winter Olympics in Turin.
