Nsoatreman FC began their first CAF Confederation Cup campaign with an impressive 3-0 win over TP Elect Sport of Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, August 18, 2024.

Led by newly appointed coach Yaw Preko, the Ghanaian team showed their dominance, particularly in the latter part of the first half.

The game changed in the 31st minute when Abdul Rahman calmly scored the opening goal for Nsoatreman.

Two minutes later, former Ghana U-20 winger Kwabena Adu Meider doubled their lead with a well-placed strike.

Rahman scored his second goal in the 36th minute, finishing off a low cross from Shaibu Iddrisu.

Elect Sport's situation worsened when their goalkeeper, Mahamat Bechir, was sent off in the 54th minute for handling the ball outside the penalty area.

Despite having a numerical advantage, Nsoatreman couldn't add to their lead, with Stephen Diyou hitting the post in the 70th minute.

Goalkeeper Daniel Afazdwu made three crucial saves to secure a clean sheet in their debut CAF Confederation Cup match.

The second leg will take place in N'Djamena on August 24, 2024, where Nsoatreman will aim to secure their spot in the next round.
