Defender Emmanuel Ntim has expressed satisfaction at getting the opportunity to fight for a place in Ghana’s final squad to the 2015 Fifa U-20 World Cup.
Ntim, 18, is a centre-back on the books of French side Valenciennes has been involved in two training sessions with the Black Satellites team in Accra and is already praising the quality and style of the group.
“It’s been a while since I got home [Ghana]. It is a great opportunity for me to show myself. I wasn’t in the team at the African Cup [AYC] so I’m looking forward to what will happen,” Ntim told Joy FM.
“Looking at the style of play of the team, I feel great. I think the team is stronger. We’ve got quality players and if we come together as a team, we can achieve greater things than the previous Under-20 squads.
Ntim is one of the three foreign-based Ghana U-20 players to have reported to camp early. The team is scheduled to leave Accra for a mini tournament in New Zealand on Tuesday, April 28.
