Ex Ghana FA boss Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe is urging Kwesi Nyantakyi to contest the upcoming elections for the presidency of FIFA.

The FIFA top job has suddenly become vacant following the decision of Sepp Blatter to resign.

The 79-year-old, in dramatic fashion, announced he was stepping down just under a week of winning a fresh four-year mandate.

Blatter’s decision has left many pondering over competent candidates who should be put forward as successor to the departing Swiss.

And Nyaho Tamakloe believes Kwesi Nyantakyi is good enough to contest the elections.

“If we are to be fair, I think Kwesi [Nyantakyi] should throw his hat into the fray to contest this December elections of FIFA,” he said.

“He is more than competent and I think he should contest the elections.”
