President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has congratulated Aduana Stars on their qualification to the next stage of the CAF Champions League but was disappointed with the exit of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

The Wa All Stars bank-roller, was disappointed on hearing of Kotoko's exit, after they were beaten on penalties by CARA Brazzaville of Congo. The Porcupine Warriors missed four penalties from ten shootouts.

Meanwhile, Aduana Stars defeated Al Tahaddy 2-0 to progress 2-1 on aggregate. Elvis Opoku and Derrick Sasraku scored for the fire boys.

Aduana will next face ES Setif, and President of Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi spoke in a bitter-sweet mood to express his feelings after the game.

"We were misled into thinking Kotoko won, so everybody at congress started jubilating," he choked on Kotoko's exit.

"Aduana has done well, lets congratulate them, it's unfortunate Kotoko is out but better luck to them next time," he added.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko have failed to progress past the first round of any continental championship in the last four attempts.

However, it is the first time Aduana is reaching the second stage after eliminating Al Tahady of Libya. They next face ES Setif of Algeria.
