A member of Asante Kotoko’s communication team, Edwin Okyere has debunked reports that Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kwesi Nyantakyi has pledged to help Kotoko Chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei to administer the club.
A report, widely circulated on social media, particularly, WhatsApp on Friday indicated that the FA President has promised to help the Kotoko leader to run the fabulous club. But speaking on Kumasi based Bohye FM, Edwin Okyere dismissed that report.
“We at the Communications department haven’t had any information about Kwesi coming down to help Dr. Kwame Kyei to run Asante Kotoko.
“As at yesterday [Thursday], the consensus was that the Kotoko vs Edubiase game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will be a free gate. There’s no information about Nyantakyi helping Dr. Kwame Kyei” said the communication team member.
The FA President reportedly met the Kotoko Chairman earlier this week in Accra.
