Ghana’s astute football administrator Takyi Arhin popularly known in the football arena as ‘thunder ‘ has for the first time heaped praises on the President of the Ghana Football Association Kwasi Nyantakyi over the appointment of George Afriyie as the vice president of the Association.

The Blacks Stars Management Committee Chairman was pronounced the vice president of the GFA following the dethroned of Fred Crinstil due to his defeat in the Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association’s election held a month ago.

The forthright sports administrator says the appointment is a good step in the right direction.

‘‘It is a very good decision on the part of Kwasi Nyantakyi to appoint George Afreyie as the successor of Fred Crinstil due to his rich experience in football and upright in discharging his responsibilities but he needs to be submissive and democratic in order to chalk laurels for Ghana football”. He said.

In related development,’ Thunder ‘has revealed that he is not surprised over the snub of Winfred Osei Parmah who was not appointed onto the Emergency Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

The GFA president on Thursday named George Afriyie, Lawyer Kwaku Ayiah, Eddy Doku, and Nanabanyin Benjamin Eyison to constitute the five member emergency committee of the Association.
