Ghana Football Association President, Kwesi Nyantakyi has been appointed onto FIFA's Organising Committee for the Olympic Football Tournaments.
Kwesi Nyantakyi joins the 18-member body chaired by China's Zhang Jilong as member.
The Organising Committee for the Olympic Football Tournaments organises the Olympic Football Tournaments in compliance with the provisions of the regulations applicable to these tournaments and the Olympic Charter.
He is one of three Ghanaians serving on FIFA's Standing Committees.
The other two are former internationals Anthony Baffoe and Adjoa Bayor.
Baffoe, an ex-Black Star player is a member of the Football Committee which deals with general issues in football but primarily with its structure as well as relations between clubs, Leagues, Members, Confederations and FIFA.
Former Black Queens captain, Bayor, is a member of the Organising Committee for the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup.
