GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has paid a visit to ailing former Black Stars captain John Eshun at his home in Takoradi.
The GFA Boss is currently in the Western region for the one week celebration of the late Western region FA Chairman Lee Yankey and used the opportunity to also pay a visitto the former Ghana international who has been battling with illness in recent times.
Mr. Nyantakyi was accompanied by the WRFA Chairman Kojo Yankah, Mr. Kweku Eyiah and the CEO of Sekondi Hasaacas Nana Banyin Eyison
John Eshun played for the senior national team between1965-74 and was also a member of Ghana’s squad for 1969 All African games in Nigeria.
The former Sekondi Eleven Wise player also captained the African select side that played in 1972 mini World Cup in Brazil and the Afro Latin-American games in Mexico.
Eshun enjoyed an impressive coaching career after he managed clubs such as Sekondi Hasaacas, Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Dragons FC(Benin), Black Satellites and the Black Stars.
