Speculation is suggesting that Alex Nyarko could be on his way back to former club Lens within the next few days in a cut-price deal. The talk is that the French club are set to make a bid for the Ghanaian international midfielder, keen to secure the services of their former star for a figure believed to be less than half the ?4.5million Everton paid for the player just 12 months ago.
Although there is no official confirmation from the Toffees, it is believed that Everton are prepared to accept the loss on the player and that the money raised from his sale would be used to top up transfer funds.
No French move for Everton rebel Nyarko
July 10 -- Ghanaian midfielder Alex Nyarko may be forced to return to Everton for pre-season training after failing to find himself a new club.
Nyarko threatened to quit the game last season after a fan ran onto the pitch in a 4-1 defeat at Arsenal offering to swap places with him.
The 27 year-old hoped to secure a return to France over the summer, but no serious offers have been tabled. Nyarko signed for Everton last year from Lens in a ?4.5 million deal.
Nyarko Left behind
July 10 -- Ghanaian international Alex Nyarko will be forced to train with the reserves and the juniors next week when the first team squad fly out to Tuscany on Sunday.
The player's agent is now looking for a new club for his client, but the Blues want as much of the ?4.5m paid to Lens for his services just 12 months ago.
