Kwame Kwakye popularly known as Barack Obama was on Saturday, July 11 decorated with a second title of Ghana’s Strongest, TV3’s reality show for bodybuilders.
Winning almost every round of the final show, the Kumasi-based athlete appeared unstoppable on his way to the gallant defence of his title.
Incidentally, his main challenger last year, Courage Adukpo, 41, was his runner-up again.
Barack Obama scored full points in all the rounds except the truck pulling event where he fell short just like the other three finalists.
With a repeat of the feat, the 35-year-old walks away with the GH¢12,000 cash prize and souvenirs from sponsors.
Adukpo, popularly known as ‘Who said Tweaa?’, also gets GH¢6,000 for coming second.
The youngest among the finalists, Ahmed Adjei, nicknamed Black, came third. He receives GH¢5,000 while Michael Bossman, nicknamed Baafira, came 4th.
Promising to retain the title prior to Saturday's final, Barack Kwakye Obama - who came second in his first attempt two years ago - gets the bragging rights for another 12 months.
The competition began with 12 athletes and after 10 weeks of weekly challenge, the four made it to the finals.
