Obeng Jnr stars in Hearts win, Eleven Wonders record first win

Kwadjo Obeng's Jnr's goal for was the star man in Hearts of Oak's first away win in the ongoing Ghana Football Association (GFA) Normalisation Committee (NC) Special Cup.

The nimble footed attacker's solitary strike in the first half, made the difference as the Phobian's won the bragging rights in the regional derby with Liberty Professionals at the Carl Reindorf Park in match day five of the competition.

The result means, the Rainbow boys have for the first time recorded their second consecutive win in the competition.

Meanwhile Karela FC with a 3-1 victory over Inter Allies jumped on top of Zone B with ten points whilst the Phobians are third with nine points.

However in Zone B, Techiman Eleven Wonders handed a 2-0 defeat to regional rivals Berekum Chelsea, to record their first win in the competition.

Asante Kotoko however could not continue with their fine form in Bechem, as they were held to a one all drawn game with Bechem United.

The Porcupines nonetheless remains on top of the group with 10 points whilst their closest challengers, Ashgold are on eight points stay second after their one zero home win over Medeama SC.


The fixtures, would continue at all the match centres on Wednesday.
