Over the years, Ghana has lost several football talents to other countries and are on the verge of losing another youth sensation Eldridge Oduro Asare to the Netherlands but the former Ajax Amsterdam starlet is keen on representing Ghana, his motherland instead of the Netherlands.

Eldridge, 16, is a sensational striker and has been identified as the future of Dutch football in the not too distant future due to his goal poaching instincts.

The young predator has all that it takes to make a complete striker. Pace, power, skills and accuracy – and he possess all with aplomb. This has led to a move to AVV Zeeburgia for further development.

Eldridge’s father, Nana Osei Agyemang spoke to HappyGhana.com and intimates that despite incessant pressure on his son to join the Dutch youth team, the young lad is bent on representing Ghana instead of the Dutch.

“Eldridge is keen on playing for Ghana ahead of the Dutch despite getting offers to play for their youth side. He is bent on playing for his motherland so as to bring fame and prestige to the nation and he is also yearning to fill the shoes of Asamoah Gyan and replicate his exploits for the various national teams but he wants to start with the youth sides. Every day, we get several offers for him even at his tender age but we want him to develop very well at his new club, AVV Zeeburgia.
