Al Merreikh midfielder Augustine Okrah believes he can score at least five more goals and hit a double figure in the Sudan Premier League this season after a promising start to the second round.

The 22-year-old Ghanaian scored four goals and provided six assists in his last three league matches to take his overall tally in the campaign to seven. He is upbeat about achieving a double figure with 10 matches to end the season.

“It's all good here in the Sudan Premier League because four goals in three matches is awesome,” Okrah told Goal .

“I scored 16 goals last season in Ghana and will like to score at least 10 goals here in Sudan to have a double figure since it's my first season. I've adapted to the life and culture here and I strongly believe all will be well.”

Okrah is also aiming at clinching his first major silverware with Merreikh, who have taken the lead on the log with five points clear of second-placed Al Hilal.

“We are on course for the league title. We lead Hilal with five points but they have a game at hand. Even if they win, we will still have two-point advantage. We will surely win the league even though it won't be easy," he said.

Okrah won Ghana Premier League's best player award last season after scoring 16 goals while playing at Bechem United.
