Accra, May 22, GNA - Okwawu United might have won only once this season but their coach Awudu Abubarkar has blatantly refused to feel the heat that comes with unimpressive runs.
Coach Abubarkar who has won only once in the five games so far played under his supervision is refusing to reckon his job might be under threat in the face of the regular mediocre performances of the Club.
" I know my job and do not entertain the least fear about my continuous stay with the team. In fact management appreciate my worth and so are the players".
He told the GNA Sports that, "It would be unreasonable for anyone to point accusing fingers at me when it is obvious we simply do not have the players to do the desired job".
After watching rampaging Accra Hearts of Oak squeeze five unanswered goals past Okwawu when they clashed at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, the coach claimed, "I know what I can do and my past record with Mine Stars and King Faisal is there as prove".
He bluffed that, "it is only bad coaches who fear for their jobs when times are rough and not good coaches like myself"
The coach however blamed his team's defeat on unpardonable loss of concentration by his players and lack of tactical discipline which robbed them of descent results. 22 May 05
