Olele Kingson helps Balkesirspor gain Promotion

Black Stars and Balkesirspor goalkeeper Richard Olele Kingson inspired his side to gain qualification to the Turkish Super league after the Turkish second tier secured a vital 2-1 win over stanbul BB over the weekend.

Balkesirspor playing at their favourite Balkesir Atatürk Stadium in the last game of the season, took a 2-0 lead courtesy Lalawelé Atakora and Reis Muhammet respectively against stanbul BB but the league leaders managed to pull a goal back through Pektürk Tayfun in the 68th minute.

This win ensured that Balkesirspor gained automatic promotion to the Turkish Super league alongside Istanbul BB.

Richard Kingson who was an integral part of Balkesirspors’ campaign to secure qualification to the Turkish Super league, made 13 appearances for Balkesir based club since joining them from Cypriot elite division club Doxa Katokopias in June. The former Wigan Athletic goalie is the most consistent Ghanaian goalkeeper plying his trade abroad, was very impressive during the this season’s campaign by helping his side win 7 matches with 5 clean sheets and lost 2 matches in the 13 matches he featured for his club.

In an interview with the former Birmingham F.C goalkeeper after his side gained promotion to the Turkish Super League.

“Am happy and my testimony is very big now,” Kingson indicated.

It has been a priority of the former Blackpool shot stopper to help his side gain promotion to this Turkish Super League and face the big teams and great players in that league.

With his feat, this has put him in a pole position to represent Ghana at the 2014 FIFA worldcup in Brazil hence making his third successful FIFA Worldcup appearances.
