Oly, Dwarfs draw

Cape Coast: "Ebusua" Dwarfs and Accra Great Olympics settled for a 1-1 drawn game in their match at Cape Coast.

Olympics took control of the game right from the kick-off but it was Dwarfs who scored the first goal against the run of play through Michael Osei in the 42nd minute.

Barely a minute later, Olympics cancelled the goal through Amui Quaye when he connected the ball into the net from a free-kick taken by David Mensah.

Back from the recess, both teams struggled for the match winner but to no avail.

Immediately referee F.K. Okoampah of Koforidua whistled for the end of the match, angry supporters of Dwarfs rushed to the entrance of the main gate to prevent him and his two assistants, S.K. Baah (Tarkwa) and Francis Ankamah (Takoradi) from leaving the stadium but Police were on hand to protect them police.

According to the supporters the referee awarded Olympics a "gift" free-kick from which they scored the equaliser.
