Accra, July 11, GNA - Accra Great Olympics, former employers of Charles Taylor are demanding 320 million cedis as their 40 percent share of the 850 million cedis training and development compensation awarded Hearts by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for the loss of the player's services.
A statement signed by Richard Oblitei Solomom, chairman of Accra Great Olympics said by the contract which facilitated Taylor's transfer in March 2000 to Hearts, we are entitled to the said percentage for any onwards transfer of Taylor.
"We contend that the compensation due Hearts on the transfer of the player under the contract with us is not different from the compensation payable under the ruling of the GFA since both are for the training and the development of the player"
The statement asked the General Secretary to deduct the money for Olympics before paying Hearts.
