Accra, Oct 16, GNA - Premier League 'returnees', Accra Great Olympics will soon float shares to raise funds for the smooth administration of the Club.
Mr Amarkai Amarteifio, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Club who disclosed this, said they have completed the preparatory stages for the floatation of the shares to commence, but said the success of the exercise will depend on the performance of the Club.
Olympics are currently placed 10th on the League table after six matches.
The Board Chairman who made this known during the inauguration of a ten member management committee tasked with the responsibility of running the day to day administration of the Club, urged the Committee to ensure that the team makes a huge impact in the premiership. He said that even though the present performance of the Club is quite satisfactory, there is still more room for improvement and called on the management team to motivate the players to reach the ultimate. Mr Amartiefio said, 93The only way to achieve this is to let the playing body understand the mutual benefit that will come their way and the Club if they win matches consistently.=94
According to Mr Amarteifio, even though the Club is faced with some challenges after their return to the premiership, they are capable of leaving up to the task if the new management team works hard. The ten-Member Committee has Mr Eric Odai Afotey as the Chief Executive Officer with Mr Wellington as the Secretary.
Other members of the Committee include Mr Samuel Alabi Cheetham and Mr Charles Minkah, First and Second Vice Chairmen respectively, while Mr Kwesi Duku assumes duty as Director of Operations.
The others are Dr Albert W.Q. Barnor, Joseph Afotey Agbo, Ransom Otoo, Kwesi Oduro Arhen and Daniel Bortequaye Angenu.
